Each week I’m pleased to feature a neighborhood in the Boston suburbs that I love. This week I’m highlighting Charlesview Estates, a pretty neighborhood located off Rt 85 in Hopkinton.
Neighborhood characteristics
The tree-lined streets feature mostly 3-4 bedroom colonial- and contemporary-style homes with spacious lawns. Many homes in the neighborhood have nice level yards with mature trees. Most homes in Charlesview Estates also have the benefit of town water & sewer, which isn’t all that common in town.
The neighborhood is a short walk to EMC Park/Playground, Hopkins Elementary School (grades 4-5) Hopkinton Middle School (grades 6-8), and Hopkinton High School (grades 9-12). On many afternoons and evenings you’ll see people enjoying the high school’s basketball and tennis courts.
Nearby amenities
Charlesview Estates is about 1/3 of a mile to Fresh Water Farm Marketplace, 1.5 miles to Colella’s Grocery Store, and five miles from large shops such as Stop & Shop, Home Goods, Bed & Bath, Staples, and Target in Milford. It’s about 4.5 miles from the Commuter Rail (Southborough) train, which goes to Boston’s Back Bay & South Stations.
Children in Hopkinton’s Charlesview Estates neighborhood attend Center (K-1), Elmwood (Grades 2-3), Hopkins (Grades 4-5), Hopkinton Middle School (Grades 6-8), and Hopkinton High School (Grades 9-12).
